THE COLD HARD TRUTH

WE DON'T HAVE THE WORKERS TO KEEP FARMS THRIVING IN AMERICA

"One of the clearest indicators of the scarcity of farm labor is the fact that the number of H-2A positions requested and approved has increased more than sevenfold in the past 18 years." - U.S. Department of Agriculture  Economic Research Service

Per the USDA,
from 2020-2022 only

32%

of crop farmworkers were born in the United States.

Our Coalition's Work

Grow it Here is working to provide a voice of reason on the impact of immigration policies that undercut American agricultural competitiveness, on-the-ground expertise from farm economy experts on the need for temporary guest workers, support for practical approaches from Congress and the administration to address this issue, and listening sessions and fact-finding information gathered from conversations with farmers across the nation.

Together, these efforts aim to ensure that American agriculture remains strong, sustainable, and supported by policies that reflect the realities of the modern farm economy.
